Study on factors affecting the lives of cancer survivors

Many social, cultural, medical and other factors can affect your life, as well as those of your family and caregivers. Clinicians and researchers at Mays Cancer Center partner with colleagues at the University of Texas at San Antonio School of Public Health and across UT Health San Antonio to better understand the many influences on survivors’ lives and to develop programs to enhance comfort and satisfaction. We want to learn from you about what factors are most important and how to help improve your health, well-being and quality of life. 

  • The Avanzando Caminos (Leading Pathways): Hispanic/Latino Cancer Survivorship Study is a six-year observational study that will enroll 3,000 Hispanic/Latino cancer survivors in South Texas and South Florida.
  • Avanzando Caminos (Leading Pathways): El Estudio de la Supervivencia del Cáncer en los Hispanos/Latinos es un estudio observacional de seis años que inscribirá a 3000 sobrevivientes de cáncer hispanos/latinos en el sur de Texas y el sur de Florida.
