Welcome to the CTRC Institute for Drug Development (IDD). The mission of the IDD is to develop new treatments for patients with cancer through integration of research programs of excellence in the translational and clinical sciences. The IDD has set unprecedented standards for the development of anti-cancer agents, playing a key role in the preclinical and clinical development of 20 new cancer drugs that were subsequently approved by the Food and Drug Administration. - The goal of the IDD’s Preclinical Research department is to provide quality research core services to our NCI-designated cancer center investigators as well as conducting direct collaborations with colleagues in the pharmaceutical industry and other academic institutions with a focus on accelerating the development of new anticancer approaches.
