Having served in the military for 14 years, Dr. Eng joined The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1999. He has served as the residency program director, vice chair and interim chair of the department of radiation oncology. His areas of expertise include gynecologic oncology including cancer of the cervix, prostate cancer and pediatric oncology. Dr. Eng is a nationally-recognized expert in Merkel cell carcinoma and he has been a featured speaker on this subject at national meetings. He has published extensively, including in reference textbooks and he has served in a number of leadership roles in medical organizations. Dr. Eng’s contributions to the institution have been recognized by a Special Service Recognition and Teacher of the Year from the UT Health Science Center and he has been named as one of the Top Doctors in San Antonio.
